Fun at the Craft Fair

Fun at the Craft Fair

I spent a fantastic morning at The Park Centre Kirkintilloch Coffee morning and craft fair. I enjoyed meeting people I knew and lots of new people.

One of the other stall holders there gave me some great information about somewhere I could possibly get my books into, which was fantastic. I really appreciate the opportunities that come my way from unexpected sources. I will definitely be following-up the information I was given.

I'm delighted to say that I sold three books, one each of Pure Human City, I Can Create Stories and I Can Create Stories (Story Edition).

As well as taking my books I took the booklet the Campsie Writers' Group had put together with the Whitefield Lodge Care Home.

The booklet contains stories from the residents and the members of the Group. The inside cover has been covered with illustrations from the member of our Group, who is an excellent artist.

The Group and Whitefield Lodge are very pleased with the booklet. Several people took a booklet, which we are giving away free. I hope they enjoy reading it.

I had taken along some of the cards that I have had printed from my photos and sold one of those too!

This was a great way to start a day.

I was also at the Campsie Writers' Group meeting, where we had a selection of photographs to choose from. We were then writing a story idea that the picture had prompted. My story involved two women, a flower shop and a trip to Venice.  Everyone came up with very different ideas.

Listening to all the different stories I realised that everyone has their own unique point of view that is important to consider and fun when it comes to listening to all the different stories!
