This week's adventures!

This week's adventures!

I was at an interesting Indie Authors World meeting at Waterstones Sauchiehall St where Jeff Brown and Allan Horne were talking about their books.

Jeff Brown’s book ' The Ordinary Man's Travels in an Extraordinary World' is about the adventures he got up to when he was traveling. The last chapter is all about the impact of his son being diagnosed with meningitis. He is donating 80% of author royalties from his book to the Meningitis Research Foundation.

Allan Horne’s book 'No one dies if they are remembered' is about his brother's diagnosis of cancer and the impact of everything that happened on the family and friends. The book is full of emotional and funny stories.

As always I met lots of interesting people and enjoyed myself.

I have also been to Business Gateway's Women in Business meeting. The room was full of interesting and diverse women.

Rhonda Morris told us about herself and explained her seven step process to getting a piece of writing from the first draft to the finished article.

Ina Pabat-Stroe gave some excellent marketing tips, with something for everyone.

The networking was great fun and I met lots of new people.

Business Gateway events are great fun and free.  They are well worth going along to whatever the stage of the business.
