A fantastic event and exciting news

I spent an extremely interesting afternoon at the Indie Authors World meeting at Waterstones Sauchiehall St.  Four authors were featured - Eddie Doody, Iain Rodgers, Bernadette Pterie and Dr Abedawn Khalaf.

Eddie Doody explained that his book, More Than an Ordinary Life, was inspired by the wish to leave a legacy for his grandchildren and entertained us whilst telling us bits about his childhood.

Iain Rodgers told us about how his book, The Zima Confession, is based on his experience of where he has been and worked and the fact that he lives in Moscow!

Bernadette Petrie with, Permission to Shine, aims to help people to love themselves, find out who they really are and be happy.

Dr Abedawn Khalaf's book, The Fugitive Chemist, is an amazing true story of his struggle to flee a war zone to conducting life-saving research. The whole room was quiet when Abed was telling us parts of his story. It was amazing to hear what he had to say.

As always the company was excellent.

I am getting everything ready for my stall at the Kirkintilloch Canal festival on Sat 31 Aug and Sun 1 Sep, from 12 - 5pm, at the College Campus, Kirkintilloch. I got the name of the building wrong in my previous post about the Kirkintilloch Canal Festival.

The College Campus, Kirkintilloch is by the canal bank and opposite Sainsbury's carpark. Here is the link of you'd like to find out more about the Kirkintilloch Canal Festival.

It would be lovely to see you if can come along.

The photo in this blog is of Lenzie Gala. I spent a wonderful afternoon in the sun there on Saturday.
