Photo inspiration - A wonderful treat every year
The roses in the photo, in this blog, are so beautiful. They flower year after year and last forever. The most wonderful thing about them is the scent. The fragrance is light and sweet. I always stop to smell the roses when they are in bloom.
Thinking about the scent I am reminded that when writing a story it is important to use your character’s senses eg sight, smell, taste, hearing and touch. This information gives your reader the full experience the character has in any given situation.
I imagine myself to be the character when I am writing which can lead to some interesting things happening in the writing, especially when the character does something unexpected.
