My fabulous holiday
My fabulous holiday
I spent a wonderful week away with a friend. I was given the space to write or do what I wanted, without any expectation of me being in my friend's company.
I took my ghost story with me, with the aim of completing the first draft.
I had been 'verbally telling' my story to a number of people. They had said they would be interested to find out what the story was like, when it was written. I was interested, too! I needed to sit down and get on with writing it. This is exactly what I did.
At the end of the week I put the final full stop on the last page. I felt amazing. I had 31 pages of words and one complete first draft of my story.
I love finishing a story. My characters are happy, too. Gerald, the star of the story, is dreaming of the new adventures he will having next.
Where do you go, to get the space and time to do something you love doing?
