Who would you be?

Who would you be?

We were challenged with a very interesting workshop by Carolyn at our Campsie Writers’ Group meeting. She asked us to put ourselves in someone else’s shoes and write a set of New Year resolutions.

This required us to consider how our chosen character would think and feel. It was very quiet whilst everyone was thinking about what to write. We read out what we had written to the rest of the group. The results were very interesting and some were very funny.

Next we were asked to write a diary entry for a character, which we read out after we had finished writing. A lot of thought went into everyone’s piece of work. The results were very varied and great fun to listen to. It is always really interesting to listen to everyone’s different styles of writing.

I really enjoyed this workshop. It made me think about how someone else might think and feel and gave me an opportunity to stretch my imagination.

If you were to write as someone else who would it be?
