Photo inspiration - Where is this ship sailing to?
The ship in this photograph, in this blog, is magnificent. The glorious colour and exquisite detail made me stop and look.
The fine rigging, the billowing sails, the prominent gun ports, the person sitting on the spur at the front of the ship, the decoration on the side of the ship and the flags blowing in the wind all caught my attention.
I wondered where a ship of this quality and design would be going. What was the ship's mission? Who was sailing on the ship? How did it look as it sailed through the waves? Who would have owned such a ship? What would it be like to be on it?
